What Are We Paying This Year?

Post by stonehousealbion »

After an away foray to Camborne and Albion's only home game this month, it's not looking cheap...

Camborne was a flat rate £15 Adult (- Teens Free) across the board. Admittedly, with free parking in the nearby school/college. (Gate = 2 500.)

Albion's Champ ambitions reflected in a £20 Adult/£16 Conc/Senior split. (Gate = 2 319.)

Access All Areas and decent facilities at both. But can't see the bar prices being much off high street in either case.

I had a report that last season the entrance to Rams was £18 plus £15 for the car park which at £33 total could be the most expensive in Nat one for entrance and parking? Any views?

Cambridge is £21 to get in (if you don't get the early bird discount) and I think it's £7 to park....(Limited spaces)

Camborne's £15 plus free parking seems a pretty good deal but if correct the total cost at Rams last seems ludicrous.

It does seem that what club's charge for parking is the real concern particularly if there isn't any off-site parking in the vicinity. It can't be right that you pay almost as much to park as you do to watch the game can it? (I know there are other clubs with similar charging structures).

To me it seems some clubs are seeking to keep entrance fees lower by raising the cost to park. I realise you can argue that this keeps costs lower for non-car users but clubs need as many supporters as they can get regardless of how they travel so I would think a more reasonable balance would be appropriate.

I’ll be following Albion around the SE….Rosslyn Park charged £15.95/13.20 concession/ free for u-18
Beer about right for west London prices

Off to London Scottish this week and it’s £25/20/5 for the Saltire stand (which is rarely full) and £20/18/2 for the Tartan Terrace. This is expensive and I don’t think an extra fiver for a seat is a good deal.

I travel by train so parking isn’t an issue for me but trains aren’t cheap (my choice)

Car Parking is contentious ...yes you want to encourage people to come and watch / buy beers etc and not be put off by having to pay for parking....that said, at.my.club BSE,.we are.limited.for space and so there is a supply and demand element...(We do have free off site parking about 600m from the ground)

It might be some clubs feel people driving is lost bar revenue?

Do Rams have the park and ride this season? When I used it in previous seasons, it was free.

Stortford have upped the prices this season.

Used to be £15, it's now £20 on the gate although you can buy in advance the day before at ~£16. They have now got a couple of little seated stands though!

No idea on parking, one of the main selling points for me is I can walk down and have a few beers!

Rams is £16.50 in advance (£18.50 on the gate) for adults. £10 for students and concessions, free for Under 18s.

Parking is £12 on site but the free park and ride runs every 15 minutes from two hours before kick-off and an hour afterwards.

It’s based at The Piggott School and is around a five minute journey.

Pints are around £5.50 which in the Thames Valley would be considered cheap.
