Lymm Rugby secured five league points with a stunning last 20 minutes performance that the students from Loughborough University couldn't live with.
A tight game up to half time had the visitors leading 15 v 14 at oranges.
A quick try on the restart then stretched their lead and things were a little worrying for the Lymm faithful.
However, the early rustiness was then brushed off and the patterns started working and the intensity from the bench wrecked any chance of a victory for the students.
A great start for the Crouchley Lane crew and they will go into next week's game at Bournville in good spirits.
