New grounds for me

Post by Exiled Janner »

Ladies and gents,
By choice, I travel to games by train and will be visiting two firsts for me this season - Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds.
Could members help me out and suggest the best way to get to these grounds from the local railway station; I'm told Cambridge is easier to walk to and takes about 30 minutes through the city whereas BSE looks further out but doesn't appear well served by bus. I aim to get to local stations by 1pm.
Local knowledge is always a better option than online enqs .
Thanks in anticipation.

Went to cambridge away last year - its a easy and pleasant walk. No need to taxi or uber.

The walk from the station to the ground at Bury is certainly shorter than that of Cambridge...
Probably 20 minutes through the historic part of the town, or literally a 5 min taxi ride...would suggest the latter, much quicker and easier.

Thanks, looking forward to visiting a new ground. I have friends who live local, they might be called into service.
