I've heard it said that the standard of International matches for Women's rugby is Men's Championship at best.
I find Women's rugby far more exciting to watch although the tackling isn't what it should be. Is it because the backs get more possession or because England are one of the best teams?

Re: Standard of play
I haven't seen so much recently, but some of the skills I saw from the Red Roses were as good as the men's game, less physicality, but the skills are top notch.
Re: Standard of play
the inability to just use biff to achieve aims, and the lesser ability to just kick 70+m to push the oppo deep into their own half possibly means more skilful/handling play is required.

I enjoy watching the women's game, a lot more emphasis on skill and handling as brute force only cannot be relied upon to win you games.
Internationally though there seems to be a huge gulf between the top sides and the rest.

I am a huge fan of women's rugby, and have a season ticket to Trailfinders Women. I think that the ladies work hard to keep ball in play, pass down the line and create a hole, and only resort to kicking as a last resort.
Re: Standard of play
I have seen a big change from few years back (not saying it was awful then) but skill, fitness etc has gone up also domestically
